Burdock Empty Burdock

This little boy had been overlooked at the Rescue, no one seemed to want him. He had been handed back to the Rescue twice for biting, was very grumpy and huffy. We were actually his 7th owner! [including carers]

When we first had him, for a long time he seemed very lost, like a little boy on his first day at school ... not knowing if he belonged, and waiting to be passed on yet again!

I don't know how he got his biting reputation, he is so gentle, and out of all our hogs, he is the only one who has NEVER bitten us.... not even a taste!

He is so sweet, still very timid, but a dear little hog... a bit of a grump, but we love him for it ..... he really doen't deserve to be saddled with a name like Burdock-Growler which is his full title, the Growler bit was given to him by his carer because of the very deep growling sound that he often used to make [and still does occasionly] I think a name like 'Thistle-Down' or 'Feather' would suit him alot bettter Very Happy

Burdock came to us last March at 2 - 2 1/2 years, so that makes him 31/2 - 4 years old

Sadly over the past week and a half, Burdock has lost the sight in one eye Sad It's hard to believe it was 2 years ago next month, that we had him and Buttercup from the rescue ... We still think of them as young hogs, but they could both be as old as 4 and a half! I love you I love you Burdock is slowing a little, but Buttercup is still her loony self! Laughing

Just a little update x
